Lila Rose has lots of creative power behind the Heyoka-produced Magick, the powerful and elegantly disturbing focus-track of the EP. Lyrical flow is fascinating and sounds effortless. Beats are slow, heavy and dark, and work well in the other head-nodder Warrior.
The sometimes gloomy melancholic mood is much better achieved here than in the old-school trip-hop like Massive Attack, Tricky or Portishead.
Two more acoustic / acapella - style tracks My Mind and Dark Clouds lighten things up with just occasional and subtle computer tricks complementing the singing and guitar playing.
Highly artistic and original work - far from easy-listening electronica. I don't really know what to expect from her in the future except more imaginative tunes :)
Check it out on Bandcamp. There's also a killer dance tune Strap It To Ya from 2008.
