"A Beginners Guide To Encephalopod-Step" must be doing something right - right?
Yes, it's far from being anything too dark or aggressive, instead focusing on fun and funk.
Get the cd or immediate download from Bandcamp. I prefer CD as the cover art is very fresh.
I've read Herman Hesse's amazing story about Siddhartha, who lived in the time of Buddha but turned down his company and service in order to find the truth on his own. Falling for a stunning high-class prostitute pushed him to work for a rich merchant, so he could afford to buy gifts to the girl and fancy clothes to himself. One morning he found himself totally crashed by the wine-drinking socially active yet empty lifestyle he had so much despised during his earlier ascetic ganja-smoking days in a world-renounced group of sadhu shamans in selibate, living in the forest and practicing some hardcore techniques in order to further numb their primary senses - hoping that it helps them to encage extrasensory powers more easily. Finally he ended up living by the river and as an old man reached the permanent peace and enlightenment he has searched for all his life.
