End of Pearl Month Update

Some albums that I've enjoyed recently (updated if I have time and inspiration later)

Quite impressive environmental ambient music, which actually has a very nice flow, warm layers glowing in the background and enough crisp sounds every now and then to bring the awareness to the present moment. At the moment I'm past 32 min mark and feel overwhelmed by the intensity of this creation. Lots of things going on around my ears.

Environmental albums have usually been on a bit of a dull (or interesting but at times quite awkward) side for me, but this one-tracker keeps on my attention and nourishes my stress-depleted braincells with much more vitalizing information.

sleepytime favorite: Jaja - Endless

My interest on Jaja's music has been growing on with every release she has put out for free (you can support in Bandcamp). I can truly feel the woman's touch in this gentle and soft cosmic ambient loveliness, one of the most soothing albums I've heard so far. Always guaranteed to put my sweet son into peaceful sleep with his TMNTurtle Dreamlite reflecting stars to the cealing along with the ninja-animal's face.

on the road favorite : Spatialize - On the Edge of Forever

Even the endlessly grey landscapes and two times three hours' car rides to my son's mother and back every second weekend can be turned into enjoyable experience when I'm cranking up this album while my son's playing some iOS games. In all it's electronic/downtempo/psychill splendour, it's also exotic in a very rootsy and earthy way, embracing and beautifully presenting just the kind of ethnic styles that have been constantly growing and receiving support here in Finland by the likes of Mikael Kosmos and Antti Kosmo (Juurisähkö, Omnivert)

Enough for now, I feel my woman's waiting for my attention

February is Helmikuu in finnish, meaning Pearl Month literally. A month of Chinese New Year and Mercury Retrograde days. All the little snow we had in this lousy winter is almost melted away and newspapers are touting about spring coming way ahead of it's time. And just today they announced that the Nature is Finland has gone crazy, just like so many people inhabitating the land here.
